But you didn't know you were mispronouncing it, and were saved embarrassment at the time.
It is such an easy mispronouciation to make. Laura was always scared of mispronouncing it at a recital or competition - so she would say "Ms. Taylor will accompany me today" or "I thank Ms. Taylor for accompanying me" or something similar.
