- I live with my awesome family of 5 or 6 or maybe 8 depending on your definitions regarding an engaged step-daughter, an exchange student, and dogs, cats and stuff, in West Vincent in the house my dad built back in the 50's. I graduated from Westtown School and Earlham College, with a degree in Psychology, which helps explain why I'm an Accountant today. I've been a Quaker since I was 2 months old and a Phillies fan since I was 7. Being a Quaker has served me far better. I hope you enjoy this blog. Let's try to keep it vitriol free.

Ok, how 'bout this - I was just talking to one of our students about a scholarship she's receiving this fall from an outside organization, and my boss came running in because she was on the phone with Financial Aid right then, talking about that very student, had overheard me say her name, and wanted me to pass along some info to her.
And then it turned out that this student is one of two at our school who get this particular scholarship. And both students have the same first name.
So my boss and I were discussing it just after I hung up with the first student, when the receptionist came running in asking if one of us could take a call... it was the other student's mother asking about the same scholarship! That's like 3 coincidences in a row!
